Metro Youth Chorus is the Divisional Youth Chorus for the Metropolitan Division. The group sings a wide variety of music from Traditional Songster Music, Gospel, and Classical repertoire.

This group's purpose is two-fold:

1) To spread the love of God through excellence in choral music

2) To train up Salvationist singers to be the best musicians possible so that they can go back to their corps and add to the worship.

There is no audition, but singers may not miss more than 2 rehearsals per season.

MYC is led by Jonathon Weller and is on duty for various divisional events throughout the seas

Eligibility Guidelines

• For ages 12-25

• Must be willing to sing

• Ability to read music is not a prerequisite but must be willing to learn.

• Actively attend a Salvation Army corps and/or LTMB Music Program *

• Be recommended/endorsed by their corps officer
